A military lawyer uncovers a cover-up while defending two Marines accused of murder.
When military lawyer Daniel Kaffee is assigned to defend two young Marines charged with murder, he initially expects to resolve the case quickly and quietly. However, encouraged by fellow attorney Lt. Commander JoAnne Galloway, Kaffee begins to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, uncovering evidence of a broader cover-up within the military hierarchy. As the case moves toward trial, the attorneys find themselves confronting questions of duty, truth, and accountability.
Written by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network, To Kill a Mockingbird), A Few Good Men returns to Broadway in a new production directed by six-time Tony Award winner Michael Arden (Parade, Maybe Happy Ending, Once on This Island). The production stars Emmy Award winner Bradley Whitford (The West Wing, The Handmaid's Tale) and Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, The People We Meet on Vacation).
Originally premiering in 1989, A Few Good Men established Aaron Sorkin as a major voice in American theatre and later served as the basis for the acclaimed 1992 film adaptation. This limited Broadway engagement marks the play's return to Broadway under the auspices of Lincoln Center Theater, presenting Sorkin's courtroom drama within the Vivian Beaumont Theater.
