A new musical, exploring the ongoing struggle for equality through the story of suffragists in 1913.

After a successful, extended run at The Public Theater, Suffs comes to Broadway. Created by Shaina Taub, this impressive, sprawling new musical fearlessly delves into the ongoing quest for equality, spotlighting the triumphs and setbacks that came with the women's suffrage movement.

Set in 1913, the women's movement is gaining momentum in the United States, led by the suffragists, affectionately known as "Suffs." They are unrelenting in their pursuit of voting rights, bridging generational, racial, and class divides, as these remarkable but imperfect women both captivate and motivate us with their story of hard-fought victory.

Despite the considerable changes since the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment more than a century ago, we are reminded that sometimes, to march confidently into the future, we must first look back.
