Hilarious, Clever

See it if you want to see a new musical constructed before your eyes. Funny and intelligent, but obviously a tendency to be a bit hit and miss.

Don't see it if you’re looking for a polished work. You can’t handle the odd dud alongside frequent moments of wit and hilarity.

Delightful, Improvised, Fluffy, Funny, Entertaining

See it if you enjoy improvisation and want to see some talented performances create a musical on the spot.

Don't see it if you don't like improvisation. The quality of the performance will depend on audience suggestions that night.

Although the set could hardly be skimpier...this is impro with the full accent on pro: top-dollar amusement that doesn’t let up from frisky, low-key start to standing ovation-inducing finish.

The book, music and lyrics may not be hugely sophisticated but the choruses are catchy and the quick-thinking cast, who alternate throughout the run, deliver some surprising plot twists.

You’ve got to be in with a good audience for Showstopper! That’s not for reasons of surround-sound atmospherics but because it is the punters who make the show. Literally.

The musical accompaniments led by MD Duncan Walsh Atkins really shine. Seamlessly tying the action on stage to what the audience wanted, the musicians were able to bring the show to a blazing finish.
