Thalia Spanish Theatre, named after a Greek muse, was founded in 1977 and has been the only bilingual Hispanic Theatre in Queens since. Its mission is to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of Spanish and Latin American culture with unique productions of plays, musicals and dance. A place where every month is Hispanic Heritage month!
The play follows a voice teacher and a man who wants to sing “La Golondrina” at his mother’s funeral. A moving story based on Orlando's Pulse nightclub massacre. Performed in Spanish with English Supertitles.
After a hit run this past summer, Thalia Hispanic Theatre brings back Juan Carlos Rubio's comedy, which mines human relations, living space, and quality time for laughs. Part of Teatro Fest NYC 2016.
