Jenny believes that her new home is haunted, convinced that she hears unexplained sounds at precisely 2:22 a.m. every night. Her husband Sam remains skeptical, dismissing her fears as irrational. When their friends Lauren and Ben join them for a housewarming dinner, a debate emerges over the existence of ghosts, belief, and the supernatural. As the evening progresses, personal tensions surface alongside increasingly unsettling events, leading the group to stay awake until 2:22 a.m. to determine whether the dead can truly return.

The play is written by Danny Robins, creator of the BBC paranormal drama podcast series The Battersea Poltergeist and Uncanny. The New York production is directed by Matthew Dunster (Hangmen, The Pillowman, The Hunger Games: On Stage) and Gabriel Vega Weissman (Guards at the Taj).
