Clever, Delightful, Entertaining

See it if You want to be surprised by staging choices.

Don't see it if You think Austen must be done like Masterpiece Theater.

Delightful, Funny, Riveting

See it if you enjoy very well done "Storybook" theater. Funny, moving, creative, active. Loved it! Mary slayed me!

Don't see it if you want straightforward retelling of a Jane austen classic.

Enchanting, Clever, Great acting

See it if You enjoy powerful ensembles, clever adaptations of classics, and Austen

Don't see it if You aren't familiar with Austin or Pride and Prejudice, you don't have a desire to be amused, don't like old-fashioned story lines.

Clever, Delightful, Funny, Great acting

See it if You enjoyed other Kate Hamill productions. You know Austen and can enjoy a humorous interpretation.

Don't see it if You hate farce. You’re unfamiliar with Austen or only want your Austen super serious.

Great staging, Great acting, Funny, Entertaining, Clever

See it if I saw this at HVSF. Another wonderful adaptation that's full of humor and great double casting.

Don't see it if this isn't as strong a show as Hamill's Sense and Sensibility, but still worth seeing.

See it if You love clever staging, take-offs of sacred cows, farce, hilarity.

Don't see it if You worship Jane Austen, might not be familiar with the novel, dislike edgy productions.

Ambitious, Great acting, Dated

See it if You like Jane Austen and that style of theatre. But also, if you're into farce and slight absurdism.

Don't see it if You are looking for a play that is thought provoking or relevant to our times.
