About the Show

A new family musical retelling of Pinocchio written by Charlie Josephine and Jim Fortune, directed by Sean Holmes.

Pinocchio follows Geppetto, a restless and unconventional figure who dreams of a life beyond the limits of his traditional town. When he carves a magical wooden puppet he names Pinocchio, the two set out together on a journey in search of family and a deeper understanding of what it means to be human. The production is a new musical retelling of the classic story, filled with live music and comedic energy, suitable for audiences aged five and above.

The show is written by Charlie Josephine (I, Joan at the Globe; Cowbois at the Royal Court) and Jim Fortune (Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear at the National Theatre), and directed by Sean Holmes, Associate Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe. The production has received four and five-star reviews across major publications since its opening.
