Fresh out of college, the ambitious but naïve Princeton moves to a rundown apartment on New York’s titular Avenue Q, searching for direction and purpose in life. He quickly encounters a diverse and colorful set of neighbors—both human and puppet. Together, the residents navigate the very real, often hilarious struggles of young adulthood, tackling issues like finding a job, falling in love, dealing with prejudice, and figuring out how to pay the rent. The musical approaches these universal coming-of-age challenges with an irreverent, charming, and infectious sensibility.

This highly anticipated return to the West End features the creative team from the original acclaimed Broadway production. The revival is directed by Jason Moore (known for directing films such as Pitch Perfect and the Broadway hit Shrek the Musical), who guides the show’s unique blend of human actors and puppets. The distinctive look of the residents is ensured by original puppet designer Rick Lyon. The musical returns more than twenty years after its premiere, following its three Tony Awards including Best Musical.
