A new staging & adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock musical about anthropomorphic trains.
Rusty is a humble steam engine who must overcome self-doubt and fierce competition to compete against other trains in a race to become the fastest locomotive. Along the way, he finds support and romance in the form of the charming Pearl. As they speed through electrifying races, the trains learn the importance of love, self-discovery, and the importance of believing in your abilities.
Luke Sheppard ('& Juliet', 'The Little Big Things') directs this new adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic rock musical, which features a cast of 40 performers travelling around the immersive Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on roller skates.
'Starlight Express' returns to London 22 years after it ended its run at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, where it ran for 7,409 performances, making it the ninth longest-running West End show. The show continues to run at a custom-built venue in Bochum, Germany, entering its 36th year this year.
This production is suitable for ages 3+.
