Homeschooled teenager Cady Heron embarks on a new adventure when her parents decide to move back to America after living in Africa for 12 years. Following an intimidating first day at North Shore High School, Cady falls in with a popular clique known as the Plastics, led by the ruthless Regina George. As Cady becomes more entrenched in their world, she learns about the vicious dynamics of high school social hierarchies. With the help of her friends, Janis and Damian, she sets out to expose the Plastics' secrets and bring about a positive change in her school's toxic culture.

Originally based on Rosalind Wiseman's book 'Queen Bees & Wannabes', and subsequently adapted into the cult classic 2004 movie, the 'Mean Girls' musical is written by Emmy & Golden Globe winner Tina Fey ('30 Rock', 'Saturday Night Live'), with music by Jeff Richmond ('Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'), lyrics by Olivier Award-winner Nell Benjamin ('Legally Blonde the Musical'), and is directed & choreographed by Olivier & Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw ('The Book of Mormon').
