See all our tips and tricks on lottery, rush, and standing room tickets.
At the theater, you may have noticed a group of people queuing up, waiting outside of the theater as everyone else is being rushed in. These are the brave (and price-savvy) few who see shows with standing room only tickets.
Standing room only, or SRO, is the cheapest way to see popular Broadway shows. While not all theaters offer SRO tickets, those that do average around $25 per ticket. Not bad.
While you will have to stand for the duration of the performance, unless an usher guides you to an open seat, seeing a show on your feet is a unique and cheap way to get to see productions you couldn't otherwise get tickets to.
Just make sure you show up early enough to get a spot in line!
