Theater is a powerful and dynamic art form that has survived and thrived for millennia. Perhaps more importantly when you're in the midst of an NYC summer heatwave, it's a great way of keeping the kids cool, entertained, and (hopefully) quiet! So here they are, our favorite member reviews of the week for shows the whole family can enjoy!

See it if You've never seen a show before. It's a great first time musical and a great story about female heroes and seeing two sides to every story.
Don't see it if You're a seasoned musical veteran. If it isn't your first show you'll see it as overrated. A fun, family show nonetheless

See it if you want to take your kids to something and don't want to invest in Aladdin. I loved it, learned something, it's impossible not to engage.
Don't see it if You're looking for a show with bragging rights. The price is right, take your kid as a birthday present with friends.

See it if you love NYC & big splashy spectacles. Great effects and stage settings. The Rockettes are top notch. Live orchestra brings the music alive.
Don't see it if if you are looking for a meaningful story line and great acting. Its geared for the tourist so plenty in the audience.

See it if You like heartwarming stories about early America and you enjoy small, intimate theater experiences. Nice way to spend 80 mins on a hot day.
Don't see it if You are looking for a large-scale theater production with very high production values.
