Every Tuesday and Friday, we're turning the spotlight on some of our favorite member reviews. Here are our picks for the week for family-friendly shows, such as "Aladdin," "The Lion King," and "Finding Neverland".

Theater is a powerful and dynamic art form that has survived and thrived for millennia. But perhaps more importantly, when you're in the midst of an NYC summer heatwave, it's a great way of keeping the kids cool, entertained, and (hopefully) quiet! So here they are, our favorite member reviews of the week for shows the whole family can enjoy!

See it if You love disney, it's a magical staging of a beloved disney classic, you will not be disappointed. Spectacular night at the theater.

Don't see it if You don't like disney or if you absolutely can't stand something being a little bit cheesy.

See it if You enjoy an enchanting story that makes you laugh, cry, and embrace the shortness of life and the importance of every moment.

Don't see it if You don't like children.

See it if you want spectacle, are looking to entertain children, or want to let your inner child have fun!

Don't see it if you expect a story or want to connect with characters or themes.This is just a series of bubble tricks with cheesy plot fitted on top.

See it if You love the classic good-witch/bad-witch story, told with a twist and with equal parts humor and thought-provoking dialogue.

Don't see it if You don't love music, dance and magic!

See it if You like to feel involved as an audience. Like Scar says, "be prepared" because this show does just that. The music will bring back memories

Don't see it if You get nervous about giant set pieces because there are a lot.

See it if you're curious about why this has become a cultural phenomenon. beautiful dancing and voices. immersive staging.

Don't see it if you're looking for a plot. this is pretty much a dance or circus show. or for some, Leona Lewis mini concert!

See it if You enjoy amazing child actors and a fun atmosphere. It's also a amazing version of an already great childrens book and movie.

Don't see it if You think it'll be exactly like the movie.
