The show, which reimagines the ancient tale of Orpheus and Eurydice, is based on an album by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin ("Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812").

What are we seeing and when?

"Hadestown" at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street) on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 7:00 PM, and Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 7:30 PM.

What is a Social?

We buy a bunch of tickets at a great price to a show and invite our members to join us. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. After the show, we hang out together and discuss what we just saw.

What's the Story?

"Hadestown" follows two intertwining love stories — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of king Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites audiences on an epic journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s alluring melodies and poetic imagination pit nature against industry, faith against doubt, and love against fear.

What's the deal?

The tickets are $114-$144 in the orchestra (savings of 28-45%), $94-$114 in the mezzanine (savings of 20-40%), and $64 in the balconyThese prices include our fee and one drink (house wine, domestic beer, or soda) after the show.

How does this compare to what’s out there?

You can see all “Hadestown” deals on Show-Score. Our “socials” are not just about great prices -- they are also really fast and easy to order, and best of all, you’ll meet other theater fans like you.

What else do I need to know?

  • We really encourage you to come by yourself if you can’t find a friend. The whole point of a “social” is to meet fellow Show-Score members who love theater like you do!
  • The tickets are non-refundable. We’ll assign the seats from the ones we bought. Each ticket price includes a $15 fee.
  • A Show-Score Rep will be there to meet you. You’ll get an email in advance so you know who you’ll see there. No waiting in line at the box office!
  • We'll meet after the show. We will let you know the meeting place, and host the gathering. We will cover your drink (house wine, domestic beer, or soda).

If you’re interested but can’t make the dates, or if the seats are gone, please click the buttons above to join the waitlist or choose another date -- we’ll use that info to try and get more seats!

Where are we sitting?

This box office doesn’t give us precise seat locations, but the theater itself has great sight lines all around. We do have specific seat locations for Thursday, July 11.
