Come See the Tony Nominees With Us!

May 1, 2018

We have Show-Score Socials coming up for all seven of the Tony contenders for "Best Musical" and "Best Revival of a Musical"

"Spongebob" and "Mean Girls" lead the Tony nominations for 2018 "Spongebob" and "Mean Girls" lead the Tony nominations for 2018

With the 72nd annual Tony nominations just announced it’s time to see all the top contenders before the big night! If you haven’t seen one of the big shows, or if you’d like a refresher on the these musicals, join us for a Show-Score Social. At the Social you’ll see the show, have a complimentary drink on us, and bond with fellow theater fans. Imagine the fun conversations about who should win the Tony or who was snubbed!

THE CONTENDERS
“SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Mean Girls” lead the nominations with 12 each. That’s a lot of love so there’s plenty to discuss afterwards with your fellow Show-Score members. Join us for the ”SpongeBob” Social on June 23rd and you can sit with us at any of several “Mean Girls” Socials coming up. Afterwards we can argue about who was best in show since so many of the actors are up for Tony Awards, too.

Just behind those musicals are three more must-sees with 11 nominations each.

"The Band's Visit" might just be the frontrunner for Best Musical given its reviews, and our Social is on May 15th. (We're also celebrating that show with a special "Stage and Screen" event.)

The revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s
“Carousel” starring Tony winner Jessie Mueller was also showered with nominations. Join us for a Social on either May 19th or 20th. Over drinks after the show we can  decide if four-time Tony nominee Joshua Henry can finally win in the classic role of carousel barker Billy Bigelow.

The latest revival of
“My Fair Lady” is also up for the same number of Tony Awards including four nominations for the principal actors. Our Social is on June 30th.

And that's not all. The critical acclaimed revival of "Once On This Island," received 8 nominations, and could well win some prizes. We have a Social for that one on June 23rd.

Finally Disney’s “Frozen” has transformed from blockbuster movie into their latest big budget stage musical. We have several dates available for Show-Score Socials. Afterwards we can discuss whether Tony should have shown it more love, though it did receive 3 nominations including in the all important category of Best Musical.

The 72nd annual Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS on Sunday June 10th, 2018 8/7c. They are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theater Wing.
