The groundbreaking and immersive disco-pop musical Here Lies Love (83) tells the story of former Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos' rise to power and subsequent fall at the hands of the Philippine People Power Revolution.
This transportive musical features music by Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award winner David Byrne and Grammy Award winner Fatboy Slim, with direction by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Beetlejuice), and has made waves for its unique, immersive approach, transforming the Broadway Theatre’s orchestra section into a dance floor with moving platforms where the action takes place. Audiences get to choose how they’d like to experience the show – standing on the dance floor or sitting in traditional theatre seats on either side of the dance floor or in the mezzanine.
